UNIASIA and TTX have reached a strategic cooperation to jointly build a fully integrated digital supply chain across all channels

In 2021, UNIASIA partnered with TTX to introduce TTX's comprehensive OFS+WMS solution. The system has been operational for over a year, bringing various enhancements to UNIASIA's supply chain. Below are some project case studies for sharing.

Guangzhou UNIASIA Cosmetics Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise in the beauty and cosmetics industry integrating research and development, production, sales, and services. Currently, UNIASIA owns multiple brands including Meifubao, Franic, Ziyuan, and Jifu Weilai, covering areas such as facial cleansing, skincare, hair care, body care, and essential oils. To meet the needs of consumers at different levels in the market, UNIASIA has established various sales channels with marketing networks nationwide. These include daily chemical specialty stores, supermarkets, department store counters, mono-brand stores, and cosmetics retail chains offline, as well as online channels such as Tmall, JD.com, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Youzan, and Kuaishou.
UNIASIA is a company that places a strong emphasis on technological innovation and research and development. It holds hundreds of patents and has obtained numerous certifications. The company has established multiple production bases in China and Australia. Additionally, UNIASIA has developed a comprehensive online operational control platform project and established a cosmetics industry Internet of Things big data platform. This has enabled online production information, intelligent production processes, digital production management, and real-time monitoring and management of the entire production process and system. Through the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, UNIASIA has achieved real-time online control of industrial internet production, establishing itself as a leader in the industry.

As a large cosmetics enterprise advancing towards digitalization and intelligence, UNIASIA has been seeking comprehensive digital integration and upgrade across all channels. The goal is to break down information barriers between B2B and B2C businesses, optimize business processes, enhance operational and management efficiency, and achieve integrated business and financial operations. With this objective in mind, UNIASIA partnered with TTX in 2021 to introduce TTX's comprehensive OFS+WMS solution. This initiative aims to standardize management of orders and inventory across all channels, resolving issues of process fragmentation and isolated inventory data among different channels. The integration of different upstream and downstream systems aims to achieve seamless flow and integration of financial data, thereby improving efficiency and accuracy in financial management.

In the early stages, UNIASIA placed significant emphasis on this project, with Mr. Hu stating: "This project is a key strategic initiative for the group, and we hope the project team can fully dedicate themselves to achieving outstanding results." After detailed customer needs assessment, TTX tailored a comprehensive digital logistics supply chain solution for UNIASIA, forming a dedicated project team. Under the leadership of Manager Zhou from UNIASIA and TTX's team, the project was successfully delivered in less than two months and officially launched in August 2021.

In this project, UNIASIA utilized TTX's OFS to integrate with major domestic e-commerce platforms such as Tmall, Taobao, JD.com, Pinduoduo, and SAP, achieving unified management of online and offline channel orders. Downstream integration involved linking self-built and third-party warehouse systems for unified control and allocation of inventory across the entire network, ensuring comprehensive management and monitoring of inventory across channels.

Addressing the diverse operational scenarios in the cosmetics industry, where product turnover is rapid and shelf lives vary, TTX developed targeted features within OFS and WMS. This allowed UNIASIA to manage complex product shelf-life requirements, enabling customized rules for batch expiry and shipment. Leveraging TTX's WMS, products with similar expiry dates were efficiently grouped together, optimizing inventory utilization.

In handling the challenge of "one code, multiple products" common in front-end sales using barcodes while managing warehouses via SKUs, TTX enhanced OFS to correspond barcode and SKU settings. This enhancement enabled UNIASIA to manage "one code, multiple products" scenarios through OFS, ensuring seamless data exchange among different channels and platforms for enhanced management and calculation of network-wide inventory.

OFS facilitated diversified carrier matching settings for orders, allowing UNIASIA to set logistics selection strategies based on criteria such as product type, order amount, shipping method, warehouse, and delivery range. This flexibility enabled automated selection of the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods, thereby reducing costs and improving efficiency.

In financial management, TTX's OFS included a reconciliation center that automated reconciliation of orders and platforms with upstream platforms like Tmall and JD.com, as well as SAP. Integrated functionalities from BMS and parts of TMS within TTX's WMS facilitated shipping loading, transport billing, warehouse billing, and automatic settlement of downstream carrier bills for UNIASIA. By analyzing and calculating costs and revenues across upstream and downstream, the system provided UNIASIA with real-time insights into income and costs at each channel and stage, serving as a data foundation for future business decisions and supporting integrated business and financial operations.

Furthermore, OFS interfaced with third-party ticketing systems to automate functions such as order invoicing and uploading.

Within this project, TTX's WMS not only facilitated UNIASIA's warehouses in integrating various automated equipment, enhancing warehouse intelligence, but also implemented suitable management strategies and operational processes to standardize and streamline warehouse operations. The system's visualized performance management module allowed managers to better understand personnel efficiency, providing a basis for subsequent optimization and scientific management.

Throughout the project, UNIASIA highly appreciated TTX's professionalism and service standards. In May 2023, both parties renewed their strategic cooperation agreement. Moving forward, TTX will continue to provide ongoing OFS+WMS integrated development services for UNIASIA, covering process optimization, requirement design, and iterative updates tailored to UNIASIA's evolving business needs to meet future demands.

Conclusion

Digital supply chain serves as a potent tool for enterprises to optimize supply operations, enhance market competitiveness, and overcome management challenges. Driven by market competition and technological advancements, the transformation towards digitalization and intelligence in supply chains has become an inevitable choice for various industries and numerous enterprises. This trend is particularly crucial in the fiercely competitive beauty and cosmetics industry, characterized by rapid product turnover.

UNIASIA's adoption of TTX's OFS+WMS for digitalizing and enhancing its supply chain has bridged internal and upstream/downstream enterprise segments. This integration has facilitated the sharing and exchange of information and resources, establishing a data-centric business ecosystem. As a result, UNIASIA has significantly improved supply chain responsiveness, achieving faster and more accurate delivery speeds. This enhancement has not only improved the shopping experience for end-consumers but also elevated the brand's service capabilities.

Mr. Zheng, head of UNIASIA's IT department, commented, "This OFS+WMS project has covered a wide range of industry scenarios and business modules. With its extensive sales channels and meticulous management granularity, it can be considered a benchmark in digitalizing logistics supply chains within the beauty industry, offering valuable insights." It is hoped that this case study will inspire more pioneers in the beauty industry to embark on digital transformation journeys, thereby facilitating their digital upgrades and transformations.
