Company Introduction

In 2021, WONBLY introduced TTX's WMS to upgrade its warehouse management system. The system has been operational for over a year, bringing numerous improvements to the company. Here is a case study sharing the project details. Hunan Wangbuliao Wonder融和服饰集团有限公司 (Hunan Wangbuliao Wonder Apparel Group Co., Ltd.) is an apparel group positioned in the mid-to-high-end comfortable business wear market. It integrates design, development, production, and sales, primarily producing suits, trousers, shirts, down jackets, cotton-padded clothes, T-shirts, and school uniforms. The group owns six major brands: Wangbuliao Business Menswear, WONBLY Lady (fashionable professional women's wear), WONBLY Young (e-commerce wear), Chaoshi Tailor (high-end custom-made), Zhizhi (group customization), and Chengzhang XuanYan (school uniform customization). The group has over 1,000 employees and a marketing network covering multiple provinces and cities across the country. It is one of China's Top 100 Competitive Enterprises in the Textile Industry, one of China's Top 100 Garment Enterprises, a leading enterprise in the Hunan garment industry, a high-tech enterprise in Hunan Province, and a sponsor of China's aerospace industry.

Market and Challenges

In the current market environment, the apparel industry's supply chain faces several challenges. Companies find it difficult to accurately predict fashion trends, leading to overproduction of certain garments and increasing financial pressure. Additionally, severe homogenization competition compresses profit margins, reducing profitability. Moreover, the consumption philosophy of the new generation of consumers is quietly changing. The corporate marketing system is gradually shifting from being product-centric to consumer-centric, raising the question of how to deliver products to consumers in a way that feels comfortable and convenient.

In response to these changes, apparel companies are seeking transformations, such as focusing on more specialized areas or upgrading their supply chains through digital technology. By better understanding consumer trends and improving the connection between production and sales, companies aim to enhance supply chain efficiency and responsiveness to adapt to market competition and changes.

TTX Helps Customers Achieve High Efficiency Operations

WONBLY is a pioneer in this regard. Several years ago, the group began optimizing its supply chain system from various aspects, such as product management and supply stability. In 2021, they introduced TTX's WMS to upgrade their warehouse management system. This ensures that the logistics supply chain can quickly respond to market changes and customer demands, maximizing operational efficiency and ensuring timely logistics, thereby enhancing the customer experience.

WONBLY's warehouse is a typical apparel warehouse, where products are categorized by size and color with numerous styles that change with the seasons. The SKU variety makes it difficult to distinguish products by appearance. However, after implementing TTX's WMS, the warehouse fully adopted barcode scanning for inbound, picking, and outbound operations. The system also supports mixed scanning of different goods in the same location, cumulative counting of quantities, and UI-end item-by-item barcode receiving. This effectively solved the issue of mixed codes, significantly improving inventory accuracy and enabling refined management within the warehouse.

For WONBLY's multi-warehouse management business model, TTX's WMS interfaces with multiple warehouses' ERP systems, achieving coordinated multi-warehouse and network-wide inventory management. This integration allows seamless linkage of orders and inventory information across multiple brands, enabling full-chain order visibility. To handle the diverse daily order channels and peak order volumes during promotions, the WMS employs intelligent order analysis strategies, breaking down and combining orders based on their structure and characteristics, and providing corresponding picking strategies to improve warehouse operational efficiency.

The system has also been customized to meet WONBLY's specific business needs, featuring various unique functions. For example, the outbound box merging function allows for the consolidation of shipments if a store's remaining items have not been dispatched for the day, provided it is within the allowed time frame. These practical features enhance system usability and streamline warehouse operations.

This tailor-made system not only offers high configurability and flexibility but is also easy to use. After professional and brief training by the TTX team, warehouse staff quickly mastered and smoothly operated the system, simplifying subsequent employee training.

Yang Hao, Assistant to the President & IT Director of WONBLY, stated, “After the WMS went live, all information is either collected by devices or interfaced with the system, making warehouse management information collection faster, more accurate, and transparent. Warehouse operations have shifted from manual searching to system-directed searches, making picking routes more logical and clear, thereby improving operational efficiency and accuracy. Issues such as mixed and missing items have been greatly reduced, with inventory accuracy reaching 99%. Additionally, the system has made the status and results of warehouse work clearer. Previously, we only had 'shipped' and 'unshipped' statuses for orders, but now we can clearly see the entire order execution process. The process and data have become transparent, which has helped us the most.”

For footwear and apparel companies, the essence of the logistics supply chain lies in reducing service costs and improving service quality through high operational efficiency and accuracy. As automation and business development continue to advance, flexible demand is also increasing. Therefore, we need to optimize the warehouse management system and consider solutions from the entire supply chain perspective.

In the logistics supply chain sector, companies can not only follow WONBLY’s approach of using digital systems to optimize management but also integrate core digital supply chain platforms with order, inventory, logistics, warehouse, settlement, and data platforms. This achieves unified logistics and comprehensive inventory management, ensuring precise order fulfillment and enhancing service quality and supply chain agility. This is the goal of TTX in building a digital supply chain platform—to support enterprise decision-making based on major data platforms and assist in their sustainable development.
