Since its establishment in Shanghai in November 2005, YOKOHAMA Rubber Co., Ltd., as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. (Japan) in China, has experienced rapid growth. The company is responsible for managing one branch, four tire and rubber product manufacturing plants, and two sales companies. Additionally, it actively promotes investment and expansion projects in China. Today, YOKOHAMA's tire sales and service network spans across 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China, with over 2,500 outlets, forming a comprehensive nationwide sales and service network.

In response to the increasingly diversified and high-quality demands of the Chinese tire market, along with intense competition, YOKOHAMA continues to push the boundaries of technological innovation and product quality. The company is also expanding its sales channels and accelerating digital transformation and smart manufacturing investments to enhance production efficiency and supply chain management.

As part of its supply chain upgrade, YOKOHAMA has partnered with TTX to implement an OMS+WMS solution, establishing an efficient and intelligent tire supply chain management system to support its long-term development.

TTX has developed specialized solutions by deeply integrating the unique requirements of the tire industry with YOKOHAMA’s diversified business scenarios.

  • Optimized Order Management:
TTX's Order Management System (OMS) is designed to align with YOKOHAMA’s business logic, enabling automatic multi-warehouse inventory allocation across various business scenarios. This ensures the rational and efficient use of inventory. The system integrates with YOKOHAMA's business platforms, consolidating orders from online channels, distributors, and 4S stores into a unified order pool. Intelligent sourcing and fulfillment capabilities enhance order processing efficiency and accuracy.

  • Advanced Warehouse Management:
The TTX Warehouse Management System (WMS) enhances product information management by accurately recording and accommodating different tire models and attributes, laying a strong data foundation for efficient inventory control. Standardized operational workflows improve inbound and outbound logistics efficiency and accuracy.

The WMS also supports visualized storage management, enabling warehouse staff to intuitively monitor storage capacity utilization and implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory management. Additionally, the system includes an expiration warning mechanism to minimize product loss. Barcode scanning technology is introduced in inbound and outbound operations, ensuring full traceability of tire batches and enhancing the precision of inventory management.

  • Enhanced Outbound Processes for Specific Products:
For certain specialized products, such as the "YouZhuan+" series tires, WMS optimizes the outbound workflow. Since store shipments involve rebate policies and require label verification at entry and exit points, the system offers preemptive error detection to mitigate manual oversight, ensuring complete product information and reducing errors. This improves outbound efficiency for 4S stores and enhances overall operational effectiveness.

  • Real-Time Logistics Visibility:
With mobile applications, logistics management achieves real-time tracking, supporting receipt confirmation and data collection, thereby improving transportation transparency and control.

During the project implementation, TTX demonstrated exceptional execution capabilities and professional expertise.

  • Phase 1: The sales warehouse at YOKOHAMA’s Suzhou factory was implemented in just 1.5 months, quickly enabling the new warehouse to go live.

  • Phase 2: Warehouses in Changshu and Hangzhou were successfully launched within 2.5 months, reaching a peak shipment volume of 100,000 tires per month. The OMS system was also successfully deployed.

Currently, YOKOHAMA and TTX have reached a consensus to further expand WMS deployment across all factories, covering a broader range of warehousing and logistics operations.

Looking ahead, TTX will continue to support YOKOHAMA in deepening digital supply chain management capabilities, fostering a smarter and more efficient logistics and supply chain system. This will strengthen YOKOHAMA’s competitive edge in the Chinese market while delivering superior products and services to consumers.
