Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology), founded in 1984, is a first-tier subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Limited and a publicly listed company on the A-share market. As a high-tech, international manufacturing enterprise with annual sales consistently exceeding 10 billion RMB, Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology operates multiple R&D and production bases worldwide, including in Germany, France, Slovakia, Mexico, Australia, and Brazil, with an internationalization index approaching 40%. The company focuses on sectors such as rail transit, wind power, automotive, and advanced polymer materials, offering over a thousand products with strong export performance and overseas operations.

As part of its strategic push toward digital transformation, intelligent logistics has been designated a core initiative in Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology’s digital production and operations roadmap. In response to the complexities of managing logistics across multiple sites, business units, and systems, the company has chosen to partner with TTX to build a unified intelligent logistics information platform. By deploying an advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS), the initiative aims to achieve refined warehouse operations, integrated system collaboration, and visualized data presentation—laying a digital foundation to support the group’s future logistics capabilities.

As part of this collaboration, TTX has customized a group-level WMS system for Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology, integrating with key systems such as SAP, MES, SRM, QMS, and PLM. The system also deeply integrates with automated equipment including AS/RS automated storage systems, AGVs, conveyor lines, and lifts. It enables an end-to-end intelligent warehouse network covering processes such as procurement receiving, putaway, storage, picking, outbound, shipping, and inventory counting—realizing integrated management across organizations, factories, owners, and business lines.

The project centers around three core goals: standardization, intelligence, and visualization. It unifies and standardizes previously scattered operational processes, embeds a strategy engine to flexibly orchestrate operational logic, and significantly reduces reliance on individual experience. Leveraging technologies such as RF, PDA, barcodes, and RFID, the system creates a high-efficiency, paperless work environment that boosts on-site productivity.

The system enables real-time inventory monitoring and key metric alerts, significantly improving storage utilization and inventory accuracy. It also provides role-based data dashboards and transparent performance tracking mechanisms for managers, enhancing scientific and data-driven decision-making.

Building on this foundation, the TTX WMS also addresses the complexity of internal transactions across multiple business entities and owners within Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology. It simplifies the inbound and outbound processes, enabling unified business management and operational optimization. At the same time, by integrating with intelligent logistics equipment, the system establishes a low-labor operational platform that effectively supports the company's transition toward lean manufacturing.

In the shipping process, the WMS system integrates standardized PFEP (Plan for Every Part) information to automatically calculate packaging data. It also supports the online retrieval of booking data for export goods and uploads it to the customs system, greatly improving shipping efficiency, reducing waiting times and space usage, and eliminating safety risks.

In the transportation phase, the system integrates with the TMS platform to consolidate transportation resources across business units, enabling route sharing, reducing empty miles, and enhancing overall transportation efficiency and scheduling flexibility.

For mold management, the TTX WMS enables full lifecycle intelligent control—from procurement and warehousing, BOM management, and assembly usage to maintenance and retirement. Integrated with MES data, it enables refined mold usage and resource reuse, helping continuously optimize mold costs and reduce waste from duplicate mold production.

The project has now gone live and is operating smoothly. It has significantly optimized Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology’s warehouse operations and efficiency, while also building a unified data asset base and replicable digital capabilities. According to estimates, the system is expected to nearly double labor efficiency, increase space utilization by 59%, reduce the number of operators by 40%, and cut annual logistics costs by over 3 million RMB.

From the initial management demands to the successful system implementation, Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology and TTX have jointly completed a deep reconstruction of intelligent warehousing capabilities. This significant milestone not only lays a solid foundation for building a more resilient global supply chain system but also serves as a key lever in driving the company’s high-quality development.

Looking ahead, TTX will continue to empower Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology on its path toward intelligent and digital transformation, helping the company enhance its global competitiveness and achieve broader growth through higher-quality products and more efficient services.
